As a result of the activities of the United Kingdom’s presidency at the 26th edition of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 26), held in Glasgow in November 2021, the Office of Gas and Electricity Markets (OFGEM) invited Osinergmin to join “The Regulatory Energy Transition Accelerator."

This initiative was supported by the International Energy Agency (IEA), the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), and the World Bank (WB), and 18 countries. The goal is to identify opportunities and generate solutions to speed up global energy transition at the lowest cost. You can check the joint statement here.

With this, we reinforce Osinergmin's commitment, linking economic regulation national supervision actions to make progress in the fulfillment of the climate goals for 2030, which represents economic, social, and environmental benefits for Peru and the rest of the world.
